12 Hours Till the End Of The World!

With only 12 hours left until the Large Hadron Collider is turn on, is this a countdown to the end of the world? Will a large black hole form in France and eat the Planet? Will it open a dimensional rift that will allow aliens to attack earth? Will it start another Big Bang ending the entire universe with the birth of a new one? Well I'm not a particle physicist, hell I'm not even a scientist, but I will bet anyone $100 that everything will be ok. But hell, If I'm wrong, just stop by next week and tell me! :)
